Privacy Statement

Energy Skills helps people find work in the energy sector. To do this, we need some of your details. This statement tells you what details we need, why we are asking for them, and what your rights are. We have written this text as simply as possible.

Who are we?

Energy Skills is an initiative of the Dutch energy sector.

What data do we ask for?

When you fill in the registration form, we will ask for:

Your first name (required)
Your e-mail address (required)
Your surname (only if you wish)
Your phone number (only if you want)
Documents you upload yourself, such as a CV or diploma (only if you wish)
What you write in the comments field (only if you wish)

You choose what you share with us. Only your first name and email address are required.

Why do we ask for this information?

To get in touch with you about working and learning in the energy sector. That's what you're signing up for.
To send you updates and news, but only if you have ticked the box for it.

We do not use your data for anything else. We never sell your data.

May we do this?

Yes. We use your data because you give us permission to do so by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw your permission at any time. To do so, please send an email to werk@energyskills.nl.

How long do we keep your data?

We store the data from the registration form on the website for a maximum of 90 days. After that, it will be automatically deleted.
Sign up for updates and we will store your email address until you unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe via the link in every email.

Who can access your data?

Only the people at Energy Skills who help you can access your data. Additionally, we work with companies that assist us with technology, such as the party that hosts our website and our email system. We have made agreements with these companies regarding the protection of your data (a processor agreement).

We will only share your data with an employer or training provider if we have discussed it with you first.

Biscuits

This website uses a small file (cookie) to remember which language you have chosen: Dutch or English. This cookie does not track you and does not share anything with others.

Your rights

It is and will remain your data. You are always allowed to:

Enquiries about what data we have on you (inspection)
Have your details amended if something is incorrect (correction)
Have your data deleted (deletion)
To withdraw your consent

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you may lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority.

Security

We protect your data. The connection to this website is encrypted (the padlock in your browser). Only people who are helping you can access your data.

We sometimes adapt this statement. The latest version is always on this page. At the top, you can see when the text was last changed.
